Hearing voices is a normal human experience – often coming to us at trying and difficult times of life – like loss of a loved one.
About 4% of the general population hear voices – so that’s about 300, 000,000 voice hearers worldwide.
This makes hearing voices as common, just about, as being born American, or European, or Brazilian, or…..
…and about two thirds of those who do hear voices regard it as positive experience: it’s simply that we just don’t hear about it. Maybe this is simply because it doesn’t make for good press or scare us enough so that we take note ..
