Very pleased to be leading a workshop  at U of T’s Grad Minds organised Conference
Open Minds: Making Headway…
Wed 29th Mar, 2017

Session 1c Hearing  Voices
6.40pm to 7.40pm

Hearing Voices
Kevin Healey (RecoveryNetwork:Toronto) – An invitation to join a different conversation about diverse human experiences and struggling in the world. Hearing voices, and other experiences we call ‘psychosis,’ is remarkably common, yet taboo.

At its core, “mental illness” is human pain: disconnection and disempowerment. Speaking with languages of human experience we create new ways of sense-making, interpreting, and living.

Already, emancipatory approaches, like ‘Hearing Voices,’ are enabling people to support each other in reconnecting and finding power to lead a life worth living.
