A wonderfully open and frank piece by Flo Bellamy about her struggles and her encounter with psychiatric services that could only medicate her: so making her even more ill.
Then how she and her family discovered the movie “The Doctor Who hears Voices” and found a different kind of help that valued her experiences and ability to learn how to make sense of whatever she experiences and use it to grow.
Flo is now studying psychology so she can learn how to help others find the kind of help that she did.
Bet she’ll be a really good psychologist.
