Talk Doesn’t Pay, So Psychiatry Turns Instead to Drug Therapy
N.Y. Times article. Published: March 5, 2011
Below a link to a New York Times article addressing the psychiatric assembly line that North American psychiatry has come to resemble. Features hard-working psychiatrist, Dr. Donald Levin, seeing patients every 15 minutes, and lamenting how he knows little about the inner lives of his patients the way he once did when he was able to practice as a psychotherapist. Nothing new to perhaps, but it puts a human face on the new world order of psychiatry.
